or you’ll spill the dream,
is that you bleeding now?
well, patch it up and
take a bow,
you’ve become the living dead.
take a breath and
say goodnight
before we see the
morning light,
by then it will be too late
push another dreamer
out the window,
save us all a few
more tears.
bring the angels down
to steal their wings
before the voodoo traps you
hide behind mortal masking,
burning off the honest flesh,
you know we can't
smile like the liars.
keep the secret of your ending
watching as it draws you near,
hush sweet silence
before the twilight sees your eyes.

i wrote this yesterday. the whole day i had "weak and powerless" by A Perfect Circle stuck in my head. and i was listening to the soundtrack to Underworld practically all day yesterday also. so, that was my inspiration.
